Superannuation IT Systems Replacement Update

As part of the Government’s recent decision to review the arrangements for the administration of its superannuation schemes, ComSuper’s project to refresh its core superannuation administration systems has been cancelled. As a result, the supporting Administration Platform Modernisation (APM) request for tenders (RFT) process has been terminated.

The RFT process had sought solutions from the IT industry in July 2008, aimed at integrating the various systems platforms and migrating legacy data.

Under the proposed APM Project timeframe ComSuper would have continued using its current IT systems for several more years. The decision to cancel the APM tender process is not expected to have a business impact on ComSuper in the short term.

Tenderers have been debriefed and provided with feedback on their tenders.

Those suppliers who did not Tender are also welcome to provide any feedback regarding the tender process.
